Seeing as the weekend is almost upon us I thought I’d post something completely off the wall.
Have you ever come home to find some random message left on your answering machine?
A message which was not intended for you, but you are so glad you received it due the sheer nonsensical comedy value it provides?
The Message
It happened to me this week and I cannot even begin to explain what it’s all about.
It’s totally surreal but involves the mass immigration of Canadian Mormons to a small Welsh village near where I live, a purchase of several bungalows and a male voice choir trekking up to Heathrow Airport.
The person who left the message even reassures the intended recipient that he is not winding them up…
But, I am not so sure. I have listened to it numerous times and still cannot decide whether it is legitimate or not.
Have a listen for yourself:
The Facebook Group
I created a Facebook fan page for this answerphone message because I think it has viral potential – it’s short, it’s strange and it’s easy to share.
As a viral marketing experiment, if you have a Facebook account, I’d appreciate it if you became a fan and invite everyone on your friends list to join the page too and share it with their friends!

Some pages have fans which grow into the hundreds of thousands, or even millions, in a very short space of time and I am interested to see how this page fairs after it receives that initial push to get going.
It may flop. It may receive a little interest or it could become a Facebook monster.
Who knows – become a fan and help me find out!
Your Facebook Experience
Have you had positive experiences using Facebook for your online business?
Have you created a popular fan page which attracts lots of fans, drives traffic and makes sales?
Whatever your experiences, good or bad using Facebook, please leave them in the comments below!

David…
I’m a bit puzzled as I didn’t understand so well what is all about exactly (English is a Foreign Language to me and the message was a bit mumbled…),
BUT
I would definitely try to help you with your little experiment, bookmarking this post heavily, to give it more weight and exposure (after all, that’s what I am best at) and hopefully more FaceBook Group FANS.
Be well!

I use facebook and have made quite a few good connections on there.
I have tried to set up a fan page but found it too difficult, being completely non-tech.
The major complaint I have with facebook is the fact of too many distractions from the many apps available, and wading through all the invites for them!
Partly my fault, I know, so I’ve gotta try and be more ruthless on there, but I shan’t give up!
I am a Mormon here in Northern Utah – I thought it was hilarious. Believe me, I would be a little taken aback if I just heard 1000 strangers were descending on our little town tomorrow. I loved all the pictures you assembled to illustrated the flow of the words – they were perfect. Somebody out there is unprepared for this avalanche of people though – are they ever in for a surprise. Go for it on Facebook, should go great.
