Getting Started
The foundation on which this blog is built and in my opinion, the best content management system (CMS) out there. Can be used for blogs, membership websites, squeeze and sales pages.
Register your domain name with GoDaddy or pick up a valuable, aged domain in their auctions section. I participate in the auctions myself most days hunting for great domain names.
If you are hosting a website or blog for the first time, you could do a lot worse than use Hostgator, the largest company of it’s kind in the world.
Your business needs an email list and Aweber is, in my opinion, the best autoresponder out there in terms of deliverability. This means your emails have a better chance of actually hitting your subscriber’s inbox, rather than heading straight into the junk folder.
I am a little biased here because it is my own training program. However, when you get your new blog set up you need to know what to do next! Everything I do in my own business on a daily basis has been included in the training so you can focus on what works to make money online rather than being distracted by things that do not.
Essential Products
- Easy Video Player [Review | Direct Link]
While YouTube serves a purpose when you first start out, if you want to create video trainings for the eyes of paying customers only, or need to create video sales letters and presentations, you need a secure alternative. This software links up perfectly with Amazon S3 and enables you to kick your video marketing up a notch.
- Ecover Creator [Review | Direct Link]
For major projects nothing beats outsourcing your design work to an experienced and skilled graphic designer. But, for smaller projects where you just need an ecover created quickly and cheaply, this software is perfect. I have used it for several of my own free lead generation products and at under $10, with no design skills or Photoshop skills required, you cannot go wrong!
- Fast Fan Pages [Review | Direct Link]
A Facebook presence is becoming ever more important for online businesses but it can be tricky to create high impact and interactive fan pages. This is where Fast Fan Pages comes in. It enables you to build stunning fan pages without any programming knowledge required and comes with a selection of templates to work from.
Niche Research
- Feednamer [Review | Direct Link]
This is an innovative product because it allows you to take your favourite RSS feed and then searches for available domain names based on the keywords in the newsfeed titles. This means you can find and register trending, topical and valuable domain names before any actual keyword research has been done.
- Niche Reaper [Review | Direct Link]
There are a number of keyword research tools out there but they only work well if you input an untapped niche keyword to begin with. Niche Reaper does this for you and searches through over half a million keywords before presenting you with highly searched, yet unsaturated niches for you to become involved in.
List Building
- John Cornetta Interview [Review | Direct Link]
John Cornetta is something of a “renegade” email marketer. He went from a newbie with zero subscribers to a 350,000-strong list in just over a year. This type of progress is almost unheard of. While you may not agree with some of his tactics, he divulges plenty of information you can implement in your own business.
- Push Button Giveaways [Review | Direct Link]
I run and participate in JV Giveaways to add new subscribers to my list. However, it can be quite time consuming to add your gifts to 10, 15 or even 20 giveaways running at any one time. Push Button Giveaways not only locates the latest events for you to join, but semi-automates the submission process to save you a lot of time.
