Live training sessions are something I have not done anywhere near enough of and I want to start putting that right.
I am hosting a 100% free, live training session on Wednesday 16 June at 5pm EST / 10pm BST and I’d love for you to join me.
The session is going to focus on blogging and more specifically, your next steps after you have initially set your blog up.
A huge percentage of blogs fail because the owner has no direction or purpose for the blog, runs out steam and leaves it to stagnate.
Whether you are a brand new blogger who wants to start properly and ultimately make money online with your blog, or a more experienced blogger who feels their blog needs new life or purpose breathed into it, then this training session is for you.
I will also take a live Q&A session at the end of the training.
This session will be a first for me in that I am going to use DimDim for the first time, having run out patience with GoTo Webinar.
Please enter your email address in the widget below and click “Sign Up” to register.
See you there on Wednesday 16 June!
One of DimDim’s selling points is it’s ease of registration and promotion.
If you want to tweet about the webinar or post the registration link on Facebook or elsewhere, please use the buttons in the widget above.
If you plan on attending, please leave me a comment below with any questions etc. as I want the training to be as useful as possible.

Hi Dave,

Hi David,
I’d be interested in seeing a blog post on how DimDim compares to Goto which nearly everyone else is using at the moment.
Some questions you may be able to cover:
Which are the most effective ways of getting traffic to your blog, both for people just starting out with and later on for people more established with larger lists?
Also how did you build up over 5000 backlinks and get PR4 for you blog?
Thanks
Keith
Hi Keith,
Thanks for the suggestions. I will work them into forthcoming blog posts.
David

Hi Sally,
I would say “yes”, but it depends if you want to get additional search engine traffic from your blog posts.
When I write my posts, I don’t write them specifically ‘for’ the search engines, but I try to keep them in mind as much as possible.
Any free traffic you can get is always a good thing!
David
Hey David thanks for the heads-up, am in. Look forward to this and hope to learn a bunch of stuff from you.
Cheers,

Hi David
I’ve never heard of Dim Dim so look forward to seeing it in action.
Richard
Hi David – hope to join you, but may be dependent on whether kids go to bed without a fuss as I’m on my own tomorrow night!
I’ve used dimdim before (as an audience member) everything went fine. Freebinar is another similar service though I’ve not used it.
I’d be interested in your perspective on getting traffic fast for a new blog. My core blog is 2.5 years old and I think probably gets roughly the same amount of traffic as yours (but in a different niche entirely). but it took at least 2 years to reach that level. You seem to have grown much more quickly.
It might be that there are just more potential readers in the IM niche – but that also means more competition for you. So interesting to hear about your main traffic sources %google vs %other sites – and which ones.

Hi Ian,
Traffic is always a sticking point, especially for new blogs.
You can do all the usual stuff like commenting on blogs and forums and it may also be worth doing some guest posts for high trafficked blogs as these will generate more click throughs than commenting.
Unsurprisingly, Google is the best performing search engine for me.
David
Hi David,
Thanks a lot for this. I would like to know how to create auto content for the blog for one’s niche, or choice of topic?
Is a niche blog better than a general topic blog?
Where do you go after you set up your blog to start generating traffic?
How do you monetize your blog?
Thanks.

Hi George,
I am not a fan of “auto content” so won’t be blogging about it or recommending it in any of my training sessions.
You ask very general questions which can’t really be answered in the confines of a blog comment but you have given me food for thought for some proposed “fat content” blog posts.
David
Hey David,
I will join you today on the webinar. I just got a new domain name so I can start blogging on my success to overcome Type 2 Diabetes which I have and want to aggressively over come. I will not setup the new blog until I here your session today.
Question: I just heard about Thesis and that I should use it for SEO purposes. Any comments on that?
Ray
Hi Ray,
A WordPress theme alone will not solve all of your SEO issues. It can help, but it is just one of numerous factors which make up your overall SEO plan.
David
David,
Be could to hear about your daily, weekly etc routine in terms of traffic generation tasks (commenting, social media etc).
See you on the call..

Hi Richard,
Good to hear from you – it’s been a while!
Daily? Weekly? Routunes for commenting and social media? Haha, I don’t have time for much of that (unfortunately!)
I try to comment on blog posts where I can but it’s amazing how little time you have, even when doing this ‘full time’.
David
Hello David,
I missed your training session. Would you be adding this info to your blog in the near future? I am also interested in the DimDim product that you mentioned in your post announcing the training.
By the way I want to mention that I really enjoyed the interview that was posted on Sally Neil’s blog a short time ago. Great stuff!
I will be keeping posted to all the great info that you provide on your blog!
Best Regards,
Alice
Hi Alice,
DimDim was a disaster and I will be blogging about it next week.
I may re-host the training session again or just record it without an audience.
It will be made available though, so keep an eye out for details!
I am glad you enjoyed the interview I did with Sally, it was great fun to do!
David
