Well… not yet anyway!
After being disappointed at the poor audio quality of the recorded webinar I hosted last week, I decided to splash out on some new recording equipment.
After researching on the internet and watching as many review videos on Youtube as I could find, I opted for the Rode Podcaster. I also forked out the Studio Arm so I could enjoy hands-free recording and combined both pieces of equipment cost just over £200 ($335).
A little expensive perhaps but I want the content I produce to be as professional and to as high a quality as I possibly can achieve so it will be worth it!
I will be able to produce sharp sounding tutorial videos and interviews which are as clear as a bell. The webinar recordings will also benefit from better audio quality even after being converted by Go To Webinar into WMV hell.
See for yourself in my new home office / recording studio (Tony Blackburn eat your heart out!)
Plus, for all you DVD extras fans, here is the official “unboxing” video:

Hey Dave,
I’ve been watching you from the sidelines launch your way through your webinar series.
I’ve gotta tell ya – it’s pretty impressive.
Obviously coming out of the same mentorship program as yourself (Alex Jeffreys), I understand the steps you’re doing with this. And you’ve got your own style going, you deliver exceptional information and your commitment to quality is bound to be not only audio related but also content related.
All I can say up to now is WOW!

I need to get a studio arm too, right now I just have one of those tripod desk stands but it means I have to bend down to get close to it or put the mic on a box which blocks my view of the monitor

Hi Chris,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment, I have read your blog for some time now!
The studio arm is great, you can move the mic anywhere you want 360 degrees. It’s so much more convenient than using a desk stand because then you are stuck in one place whereas you can move about more with the mic on an arm.
Keep up the good work and I’ll be over again soon!
