What was supposed to be a relaxing week long break on the sunshine island of Tenerife turned into a slightly longer stay after Nicola and I arrived a day before Iceland decided to explode. (more…)

Seeing as the weekend is almost upon us I thought I’d post something completely off the wall.

Have you ever come home to find some random message left on your answering machine?

A message which was not intended for you, but you are so glad you received it due the sheer nonsensical comedy value it provides? (more…)

Today’s Something for the Weekend is a cool hierarchy graphic that made the front page of Digg earlier in the week. It shows the different types of online distractions that bombard you every day and prevent you from doing any actual work. While it has been presented in a humourous way, it just goes to show what us internet marketers are up against every day while trying to make money online and not falling victim to the numerous time wasters which are just a single mouse click away! I have seen the 25 Things About Me exercise doing the rounds on Facebook for a while and have done my best to ignore it. However, a fellow student on the Alex Jeffreys coaching program, Gary Simpson, took it upon himself to call out several students, myself included and challenge them to produce a list similar to his own.

Another week has flown by so that means it’s time for Something for the Weekend. For the first time in six weeks this post is not completely dominated by content from fellow students on the Alex Jeffreys coaching program. Yet again, Something for the Weekend is dedicated to the students on the Marketing With Alex 2.0 course. However, this week there appeared to be less content to choose from. I know some students are pushing on with other projects and may not have had as much time to blog but I hope this is the case generally and that people are not running out of steam after only a few weeks.

Anyway, these 10 blog posts have grabbed my attention this week and I am really pleased to be able to share them with you. (more…)

Today marks a month’s worth of Something for the Weekend entries dedicated to the students of Alex Jeffreys. This is testament to the sheer amount of quality content which is being published on their blogs and it is fantastic to watch the progress everybody is making as the weeks go on. The level of achievement has been remarkable considering some students had no prior knowledge of blogging. So, without further ado, here are what I believe to be 10 of the best blog posts from the past seven days. (more…)

This week’s Something for the Weekend is a little late but I think the wait has been worth it. For the third week running, the content in this column is dedicated to the achievements of the students on the Alex Jeffreys coaching program and again it has been difficult to limit the content to just 10 examples of excellent work being done over the past seven days. This week’s edition has nearly all been about videos, as the students fired up their webcams and descended upon Youtube in numbers! (more…)
