Following the success of my 30th Birthday Giveaway, I have teamed up with fellow UK-marketer Paul Wilson to launch an event to coincide with the World Cup 2010!
The giveaway is now open for contributors and launches to members on Friday 11 May.
There has been huge competition this month and I don’t think I have ever seen so many giveaways taking place at the same time but Paul and I have pulled out all the stops to make this event as successful as it can be! (more…)
I recently hosted my first JV Giveaway and was delighted with the results.
The Giveaway was a success, no doubt about it and I added over 3,000 new subscribers to my mailing list as a result.
Almost 30,000 visitors hit the website during the pre and post launch periods and I am sure a LOT more people are aware of me now than before I ran the giveaway! (more…)
Yesterday I had an opportunity to do a small joint venture with fellow marketer and Alex Jeffreys student Tim Owen. I hadn’t spoken to Tim during the coaching period up until yesterday but I am really glad we had the chance to get acquainted.
Before presenting an offer to his subscriber list, Tim likes to “warm them up” a little first by briefly introducing his JV partner to them via video and that is what I want to blog about here. (more…)
I have been putting off doing this video for weeks but with the competition deadline looming in about 24 hours from now I finally got my entry together and uploaded to Youtube. As part of my continued efforts to drive visitors to DavidWalker.tv ahead of the Alex Jeffreys traffic competition closing on Friday, I am excited to report that one of my blog posts made the front page of Sphinn, a niche social bookmarking website! While my server didn’t melt from the influx of new visitors it goes to show how powerful using social bookmarking websites can be to drive both traffic and backlinks to your content. (more…)
When I wrote a post about how I was going to increase traffic to my blog a couple of weeks ago I did not consider one powerful method which could not only increase visitors, but also improve my search engine rankings as well. The method I failed to spot but am now just beginning to get into in a big way is article marketing. Better still, I am taking a “hands-off” approach to this aspect of my business and intend to outsource it completely! (more…)
Is it we are both young, good looking and on top of our game?
Of course, but the answer for the purposes of this blog post is we are both using video to brand and market ourselves online.
OK, so Maria Andros may be a famous video marketer watched by millions of people on Youtube everyday whereas I am an internet nobody with little more than a webcam and a dream, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. (more…)
Last night’s coaching webinar with Alex Jeffreys was all about driving targeted traffic to your blog. Traffic, or visitors as people who arrived at your website used to be referred to before the internet became trendy, is the lifeblood of any online business. If nobody visits your website then there is no interaction, no relationships are formed and ultimately no sales are made. Without visitors to read what you are putting out there, a blog may as well not exist. (more…)
