I would have to say that the major stumbling block for my and my blogs would have to be lack of focus and persistence. I start something that has potential but get sidetracked really easily.
Looking forward to you new ebook!

I am looking foward to Blog Not Slog Breakthrough as Iam new to this and am just getting ready to start my first blog, and I need to learn everything!I am alos here to download Blog Not Slog, so thank you for that also.
The biggest stumbling block that I have faced on almost all of my blogs is gaining quality and loyal readers. The type that not only will return for more but take the time to comment on as well as bookmark posts.
I would like to see in the report a way of encouraging readers to participate and help drive the blog forward – as I see this to be the best way to motivate a blogger to continue churning out quality and highly relevant content targeted to the blog readers.
Thanks in advance,

Every newbie wants the step-by-step, A to Z guide to blogging or Internet marketing but the day that guide is written is the day that 90% of marketers will be out of a job – this industry is built on people’s belief that there is some secret out there they don’t know about. Each ‘free ebook’ is another piece of the jigsaw but never all the story, because if you gave away all that is really required then what would your next ‘free ebook’ be about? Newbies’ frustrations come from being lead to believe that the $erious money can only be made by the gurus whom look after themselves and their close knit group, because they have what you need to succeed in this game – huge email lists. All roads seem to lead to the gurus (e.g. Your recent Las Vegas trip). Newbies are lead to believe that if they are photographed with the gurus and write about them as ‘really nice guys’, and take a video camera around the ‘inspirational’ homes, that then they may be allowed to use their mailing list – after which it is only a question of maths (1% of 200K mailings) that guarantees them a life-changing payout. Newbies would love to hear that there is an alternative to this.

One of the biggest problems I always have is, what should I write about on the blog. When should I start advertising on it and what is a good way to get traffic to the blog? These would help me start making some cash flow off my blog.

Hey Dave, My blog is a PR1 with only 7 posts even though it is over a year old. My problem is finding relevant content to put on the blog. I can only write so much out of my own brain because SEO is easy to me and SEO articles go at a high premium if you can find them. I don’t really care to put someones articles on my site because of the duplicate content thing that google hates so much. What can I do? By the way, I put my new site; myluckyforex on the First Page in 2 weeks with very little effort. looking forward to your product Dave, Tim

Hey, David……….Hope you get a bunch!! My difficulties are Just getting started!! How do I set up a blog, what do I write about, how will I get paid if I DO start?? Just a newbie. Thanks for the video. David H.
I’ve been blogging on my web sites for several months now. Traffic is picking up but, no buyers. I think my marketing is what’s holding my back. I probably need to improve or change some of my methods but, I don’t know what that should be. I have posted religiously but it is starting to wear on me since I also have another regular job. My thought is if I have a better marketing strategy I wouldn’t have to kill myself blogging so much.

What’s holding me back? …. in a word … Marketing
I have loads of “How to” e-books on the subject but, I guess I must have learning difficulties,or something cuz I just CAN’T get people To my site(s)
I even went so far as to pay a (well known)Company to market a site for me and, three months later (and considerably out of pocket) the results ….Nothing, nada. So, if they can’t get results, what chance have I got, by myself.
So, Marketing is, for me, a No-No and tabboo subject so … what to do?

As an affiliate marketer, I’m using Wordpress as a static pre-sell page, with article directories as my main source of traffic. It’s taken me over six months to “slog” thru the learning curve to the point where I can actually get something accomplished. I think the best advice you can add to this new report is for newbies to realize their limitations and look for either 1) a turn-key solution or 2) a mentor to get them started on the right foot. Maybe some direction on how to choose a mentor and/or evaluate the many programs available to new internet marketers?
Thanks for asking.
I just need to learn just about everything, from getting a list and my aim would be to have a subscriber list, so all knowlege would be gratefully received. I seem to be so gullible, have spent so much and getting nowhere fast. Thanks
With today’s technology, getting a blog/site online is fairly easy for most of us. That said, what do you put on the site?
Content is most important, after all most are looking for something specific when they come to you. The hardest thing for a non-writer is coming up with content. Yes, there is a lot of PLR out there but most of it is less than desirable. Yes you can pay someone to ghost write your content but for most starting out resources ($$$) are scarce.
For me, the above is a real problem as well as a lack of focus and planning – something I have always had trouble with.
It ain’t as easy as the ‘guru’s’ say it is!
Dave I only live round the corner from you and I have been reading the comments. I am as confused as anyone but it seems to me that there are no secrets. It is people that fail not the system.
All you have to teach me is the system and I will stick to it.
I think too many try something then do something else and get lost.
I now know that there is a lot to learn but that has to be done.
Only then can one say its easy to make money on line because it will seem that way. Where do I go from here is the main question.
How do I get more traffic to my site etc.
Regards for now
Geoffrey
Ok, I find a niche, get my themes and keywords ready but the problem is the content, I have no budget to outsource. To write a content it takes me forever, I tried spinning articles but they make no sense neither. Thanks
Biggest problem is conflicting information from many of the so called experts and always finding blogs etc for my forum, Sport and business psychology for performance.
Hi David
I’ve been online with this site http://www.hypnotherapyweightloss.org/ since November and I’ve put lots of effort into building it up. The actual sales have been dissapointing however even though I have sent many thousands of clicks through to my vendors web sites. I guess it’s a combination of me not doing a good enough pre-sell job and also the vendors sites not being great at convertion. This year seems to have been worse than last year however. Recession maybe? I’m currently working hard at trying to build up credibility and trust and also building traffic through twitter and facebook. Just a few more sales would help my morale and bank balance. I’d love you to review my blog and offer some ideas. Any chance David please?
Cheers

There needs to be a way to know what each entails BEFORE we buy.
It’s gotten to the point that it makes me sick to THINK of computers!
I have put together a blog for my golf site, but I have no way of knowing how many visitors I’ve had that have not made comments, or how to properly monetize the site from those that do. As well, just basically getting people to comment more seems to be difficult. Which in a sense all boils down to getting more traffic. That’s probably the biggest issue I have.

Not sure if this is something you would include in this, but I’m trying to figure out how to use subdomain blogs to build up my main domain blog. Not sure what the structure would be or how to set it up for that matter. Have read other resources but none of them have given me the full picture thus far. I would really appreciate information on this technique. BTW, realy enjoyed SSSB, looking for to this new addition.

Hi David,
My main frustration is making money with my blog.
I think my total earning from Google Adsense is £20($30) for about the last year. So that doesn’t seem to work. I’ve had a few dollars with affiliate sales but nothing worth shouting about. I done one blogging course and a little way through another one, so I feel I’m at an intermediate level.
I always get the feeling that the only people making money on the the net are those selling internet marketing.(Apologies there!) So maybe it’s a mindset thing!?
I am driven to make this work and send a lot of time on my blog:
http://www.motivationalcartoons.co.uk
The Internet does work for me and I pick up a lot of work as a freelance cartoonist with my web site. So I’m in two minds to stop trying to make the blogging work and concentrate on marketing my web site better.
I’m a very positive thinking guy and won’t give up easy!
Best wishes,
Richard

I think the problem with most blogs is they’re not contect specific. You could elaborate on what we learned at the workship in Las Vegas from Stefanie Mulac.
I love my blog. It’s a mixture of everything and because of that I never have difficulty in finding something to write about, BUT…it’s not very good for Google or the other search engines to send traffic to because it’s not about anything in particular.
Perhaps you could explain how to make blogs vending machines and not stalls of fruit. Sorry readers – David knows what I mean and hopefully, he’ll explain it to you in his new e-book).

Here are the greatest obstacle. Generating traffic is the greatest obstacle. My blog is 5 months old. I use social networking (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In), commenting on other Blogs, write articles for ezine article and such, joined my niche network sites, signed up with digg, stumbleupon, yahoo buzz etc. Also starting to comment on Amazon for book reveiws in my niche. Beggining to seek opportunities to gueat blog now. I write articles on avg 2-3 times a week. I do receive comments.
I hope that gives a glimpse of my obstacle.
Vonzel Sawyer´s last blog ..Solution is in the Problem
Hi David,
My biggest obstacle right now is the ability to make my blog stand out above the rest.
There are some amazing blogs on the web that have amazing content and rich veins of monetisation potential with adsense ad’s, banners etc. I am still unsure of how a blog should look both aesthetically and what the rules are with regards how many banner ad’s, affiliate links etc to put on my blog.
I know that value of content to the reader is key to higher conversions but could you tell me what a really good blog should look like? Secondly how do I provide my readers with what they really want rather than the same content that can be found on thousands of other blogs out there? Is there a step by step way to research what a potential customer wants? I am trying my hand at affiliate marketing and don’t always know everything about the product I am hoping to sell which makes producing content difficult.
I would also like to know what to do to increase my optins on my free giveaway product as right now I am getting traffic but no optins which means I am not building a list. Very Frustrating!
Look forward to seeing your new report.
Cheers

Mark´s last blog ..Making Money Online – Why You Are Doomed To Failure
Hi David,
I had to think carefully about this one. I think I have half a business and my roadblock putting the rest in place.
This is what I have:
1)I have created my own products and can create more reasonable fast.
2)I have built a reasonable list (4,700) and I know it will continue to grow fast.
3) I have plenty of contacts to do adswaps and JVs with.
Now for what I’m missing:
1) I don’t earn much from my list!
If a list is worth $1 per person per month then I’m missing at least $4000 per month
My earnings now come mainly from people buying upsells when they opt in and a small amount of affiliate commission, but that’s it. If I promote a high ticket item my list doesn’t buy.
In fact I was doing better over two years ago when I released my first product on clickbank and had virtually no list at all!
What I need to know is how to build a strong relationship with my list and blog readers so that if I do recommend something some of them will trust me enough to buy it. (Also any other tips for improving my online income.)
Thanks

I’ve been blogging now for a while and I still seem to be running into road blocks with traffic. Wow, loads of stuff that I can improve on already listed in the comments, however I think no cost targeted traffic (untargeted is as easy as falling off a log, especially if you’re not offering something that a wanabee internet marketer must have for free – just play with the traffic exchanges!)and then once achieving this type of traffic monetizing it for a decent income. As for a list being worth a dollar a month per person – I need to get a new list!

My problem is the layout and design. I see lots of really professional looking blogs and mine always looks like a five-year-old has designed it! I’m always reading that wordpress is the way to go, but I really struggle with it as my technical know-how is virtually non-existant.

How to overcome procrastination and just start is my biggest problem- some kind of simple checklist would be useful
Howdy David…..My biggest problem right now is thrashing through the daily ton of e-mails that guarantee I will make a gazillion dollars if I follow their advice.I want to get into blogging as a form of social media everyone says is here and is the next big thing but how do you know what to pay attention to and what to ignore? Thanks for the chance to air my gripe and any help you can give me will be appreciated. Who knows, mayby some other”newby could use the help also….Martin
My problem is putting things off and then not taking ACTION!
There are a couple for me.
*I lack knowledge of word press in general and how to add a particular auto responder to my blog. ( I had purchased a year subscription from another provider and I am having a hard time figuring out how to integrate it. And if your wondering I got your report way after I purchased it)
*I’m not getting enough traffic
*Writing or finding a good source for articles
*The most critical one is staying focused and having a organized game plan, while juggling this with my day job.

Hi David,
Just watched your video and realise that I’m rather late commenting, but maybe it should be said anyway………
I’ve been playing at this for many years now and now, when I want to take it seriously and start earning properly, I find it very hard to drop the Hobby attitude and start using it as a business.
Along with many others I have several hard drives of EBooks and Courses (many of them very interesting and potentially very effective methods to earning on line)……..
BUT
It’s which to choose, and then HOW to stay organised and stick to a plan?
I know from experience that though I like working alone for long spells it’s the networking and joint discussions with friends or like-minded colleagues that helps to me to stay on track and prioritise best.
There you have it in a nutshell. I’ve got site builders galore, backlinking aids, dozens of top level memberships, software galore, a mountain of PLR and site templates and many ideas covering many on line avenues towards what I need to live on – $10,000 a month is my aim.
But I’m still in a spin, not making a profitable success of anything yet.
Now this has to be the same for so many of us that have been around for a couple of years – so are we all losers? Well, I AM in that category at present and have to be prepared to admit it, but I don’t want to stay here and I do wantto break out towards even a moderate level of success. I need shutting in a room with 3 others, with our PCs and afcilities and a clear aim of what we have to do and achieve (complete) before we’re allowed out!!!!
Over to you Mr Starter!!
Cheers David
