About
Hi, my name is David Walker and I want to thank you for visiting my blog.
I am a full time internet marketer and professional blogger.
I have been “living the dream” and making a full time income online since March 2006.
Who is David Walker?
My blog is “me” online so take a good look around at my posts and you should get a better idea of what I am all about!
But, in a nutshell, I am 29-years-old, from South Wales in the UK, love the internet and trying to make money from it. I live with my girlfriend, Nicola, who has tolerated me for five years and enjoys the benefits of the internet lifestyle.
I have been fortunate. The internet has provided me with more money than I could realistically make in a “real job” and has enabled me to live comfortably – I have never once had to worry about a bill since taking the plunge and working for myself.
It is also allowed me to visit some amazing place and take some awesome vacations:

Nic and I enjoying the 5-star luxury at Sandals, Jamaica.

It Can’t Always Have Been This Good, Surely?
I mentioned earlier that I had been “fortunate” enough to make a full time living online and I truly believe that. Up until now I don’t think I have gone about making money online the “right” way.
I have always flitted from one niche or money making method to another, made some cash along the way and then it was onto the next opportunity when the well ran dry. This is no way to run a business and I felt it was only a matter of time before my luck ran out.
I first started messing about with homepages back in 1997 and started my first online business in 2001. At that time I was heavily interested in the online gambling niche and ran a soccer betting tipster service for a while but never really made any real money with it.
In 2005 I set up a gambling affiliate website and I believed this was my ticket to internet riches. I managed to get the site ranked at it’s highest to #4 in Google UK for it’s most popular search term but I then made some bad decisions. In my impatience to rank the website higher I purchased some high PR links which a competitor must have reported and that was me dumped from the rankings.
I haven’t touched the site for about two years but it still brings in a few thousands dollars a month in residual income as it still ranks in obscure outposts such as Google Poland and the like. I don’t expect this income to last forever but at the moment, it’s a nice bonus.
I have always been interested in soccer and set up several soccer-related websites. These proved to be real money spinners between 2007 and early 2008, raking in an easy $2,000 a week and on some days, as high as $4,000.
But, as with everything I have been involved in, the good times do not last and as the money trickled away it was time once again to get into something new.
I had heard a lot about CPA (Cost Per Action) and it seemed a great way to make money. However, perhaps misguidedly I went down the more “grey hat” route and between September 2008 and May 2009 must have spent around $10,000 on training, software and hosting for this venture.
Don’t get me wrong, there is money to be made in this area but I couldn’t really get it to work. I made about half of my investment back but it was the hardest money I ever earned online.
I suffered numerous setbacks with hosts going down and them deleting websites and sales funnels which had taken ages to set up. Online avenues used for promotion would constantly change their rules and algorithms, so one day your posting software would work and the next it wouldn’t.
It felt like a constant game of cat and mouse, an uphill battle and one which I was losing day by day.
Enough was enough.
Back to Basics
I called time on my CPA adventure and at this stage I was wondering what my next move was going to be. I seriously considered returning to the online gambling niche because I had a few good domains registered and it was an area I knew well.
I was also using Twitter a lot and had been following the progress of fellow Welshman Alex Jeffreys who was making huge strides in the internet marketing industry.
His success was all down to building a large subscriber list and nurturing a strong relationship with them by over delivering on high quality content he gave away for free, rather than charge money for it.
In October 2008, Alex ran a mentoring program for internet marketing newbies where he taught the above system to make money online he had learned from Mike Filsaime, one of the big players in the industry.
He was due to run the program again in July 2009 but I was unsure whether I was right for the program because I am hardly a newbie. But, having seen the startling progress made by some of his students who had absolutely no experience in internet marketing, I decided to give it ago.
Strangely enough, a day after coming to this decision I watched one of Alex’s promotional videos where he announced if you bought Rich Shefren’s Guided Profits System coaching program through his affiliate link, he would throw in a place on his own coaching program for free.
This was a no brainer – I’d get the detailed business planning and marketing coaching from “Guru to the Guru’s” Rich and also the list building advice and networking opportunities I needed from Alex.
So – Here We Are, DavidWalker.tv
Immediately after enrolling for both the coaching programs, I registered the domain name DavidWalker.tv and wrote about what I was about to embark on.
The very early modules of Rich’s coaching were any eye opener and made me realise and admit to myself how bad a business model I had. In fact I don’t even think you could call it a business model!
But now, thanks to the mentoring and taking a long, hard look at myself, I have renewed focus.
I know what I want to achieve and where I want to be.
I have given this blog the strapline: “Achieve Your Internet Marketing Goals With Me” because while I have managed to make a living online for a few years, I know I have yet to reach my full potential.
I want to become an authority figure in the internet marketing niche and I want you to achieve your own goals in this area with me!
This blog is going to chart my progress in internet marketing and as a professional blogger. I am going to write about blogging, marketing, social media and how exactly I am making money online.
There will of course be a some personal posts as well. What’s the point in having a great time somewhere if you can’t stick it on the internet?
It is still early days in the latest chapter of my online career but I feel as though getting involved with both coaching programs has changed my life.
I have made friends with some incredible up-and-coming marketers who you will all be hearing a lot from over the next few years and it will be amazing to all hit the dizzy heights we all know we are capable of together.
