As part of my continued efforts to drive visitors to DavidWalker.tv ahead of the Alex Jeffreys traffic competition closing on Friday, I am excited to report that one of my blog posts made the front page of Sphinn, a niche social bookmarking website! While my server didn’t melt from the influx of new visitors it goes to show how powerful using social bookmarking websites can be to drive both traffic and backlinks to your content. (more…)

When I wrote a post about how I was going to increase traffic to my blog a couple of weeks ago I did not consider one powerful method which could not only increase visitors, but also improve my search engine rankings as well. The method I failed to spot but am now just beginning to get into in a big way is article marketing. Better still, I am taking a “hands-off” approach to this aspect of my business and intend to outsource it completely! (more…)

Another Cardiff City match, another “official opening” it seems. First we had the very first match at the new stadium involving two sets of “Legends” and then it was the official opening of the new stadium with an exhibition against Scottish giants Celtic.

But, Saturday was the “real” opening as far as I am concerned. The very first league match played at the new stadium would always go down as an historic event and the team were aware of the magnitude of the whole situation. Newly promoted Scunthorpe United provided the opposition, such that it was, and were swept aside 4-0 by the Bluebirds on the day. (more…)

Today marks a month’s worth of Something for the Weekend entries dedicated to the students of Alex Jeffreys. This is testament to the sheer amount of quality content which is being published on their blogs and it is fantastic to watch the progress everybody is making as the weeks go on. The level of achievement has been remarkable considering some students had no prior knowledge of blogging. So, without further ado, here are what I believe to be 10 of the best blog posts from the past seven days. (more…)

For the past few days I have eagerly awaited a free report promised by Brian Clark, founder of the highly popular and authoritative CopyBlogger website. Today, it was released and in it contained 10 fundamental rules to becoming an authority blogger and running an authority blog in your niche online.

While I thoroughly enjoyed reading the report what was even more satisfying was I am actually doing the things he wrote about. It just goes to prove what I am gaining from being coached by both Rich Schefren and Alex Jeffreys actually works and there is no big secret to becoming successful online. (more…)

Is it we are both young, good looking and on top of our game?

Of course, but the answer for the purposes of this blog post is we are both using video to brand and market ourselves online.

OK, so Maria Andros may be a famous video marketer watched by millions of people on Youtube everyday whereas I am an internet nobody with little more than a webcam and a dream, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. (more…)

This week’s Something for the Weekend is a little late but I think the wait has been worth it. For the third week running, the content in this column is dedicated to the achievements of the students on the Alex Jeffreys coaching program and again it has been difficult to limit the content to just 10 examples of excellent work being done over the past seven days. This week’s edition has nearly all been about videos, as the students fired up their webcams and descended upon Youtube in numbers! (more…)
