A few days ago I questioned whether or not the internet marketing niche had become oversaturated. I came to the conclusion that it had not, despite seemingly being bombarded by the same offers week in, week out, by different marketers trying to promote them. Despite what you may think, the internet marketing niche is nowhere near saturation point and I have decided to return to this topic and provide a list-friendly seven reasons why this niche is exactly the one you should be getting involved in. (more…)

Just a quick post to round off what has been another busy week and I thought I’d showcase my brand new Twitter background! I have had a Twitter account for around 18 months or so but only started using it seriously since April this year. In that time, I have exploded my following from around 500 Twitter users to over 36,000 and thought it was about time I had a professional background to compliment my account. (more…)

The reason I set up DavidWalker.tv in the first place was to document my switch to the internet marketing / make money online niche and to over time brand myself as an expert in this area. However, this begs the question, is the internet marketing niche reaching saturation point, or is it indeed already oversaturated?

Depending on how many marketer’s email lists you are signed up to will determine the number of almost duplicate sales pitch messages you receive in your inbox every day, all trying to push the same product to get those all important affiliate commissions. Every other person on Twitter proclaims to be an “internet marketer” and I see an increasing number of “products” which all solve similar problems coming onto the market every day. (more…)

It’s Monday afternoon and the start of a new week seems as good a time as many for yet another reality check on where my business stands as of today. It makes grim reading because ultimately, there is no business in terms of what I want to achieve from this blog and my positioning within the internet marketing niche.

Last week I identified 16 obstacles which stand between me and succeeding online and here I have outlined what I believe to be the three most crucial factors which are preventing me from being where I want to be. Today. Essentially, this is what I have in terms of a business at the moment: (more…)

I may be only a few days into writing content for DavidWalker.tv but you should be aware this is at least the third time I have attempted to start and maintain a blog. On the previous occasions and as I have began here, I have started with good intentions before the posts and interest in the blog peters out.

I think there are a number of reasons for these past failures, such as a lack of focus on a main objective for the blog and therefore not really knowing what to write about and my time being consumed by other business activities. I’d like to think things will be different this time around because I want this blog to be an integral part of the business I am trying to create. (more…)

While I wouldn’t exactly describe myself as a complete “newbie” to the world of internet marketing, I am effectively starting from scratch to brand myself online and build a business around myself as an authority in the super-competitive “make money online” niche.

I came to the conclusion yesterday my business sucks and with that in mind, I have identified each of the obstacles which are standing between me and online success. To look at each obstacle positively I have also turned each of them on their head to create an objective which I need to achieve.

It’s not just one or two obstacles I face either – I have outlined 16 in total and I expect I have missed some out aswell. I thought I’d share them on the blog as no doubt numerous other would-be marketers are in the same situation I am.

I am two days in to Rich Schefren’s GPS program and while I am still supposed to be on the “easy” and “introductory” modules, I have had another severe wake up call this morning. The conclusion I have come to after today’s short assignment is, to put it bluntly, that I suck!

A small task designed by Rich’s mentor, Michael Masterson, aimed to determine how many hours I spent each week on a major goal, whether I used task lists and whether these tasks all built towards meeting weekly, monthly and even yearly objectives. It also looked at how distracted I was on a daily basis. (more…)

As I promised yesterday, today would be the first time I embarked on Rich Schefren’s GPS coaching program. I was promised an easy first day, but have already devoured two hours of video and if I want to go over the Q&A sessions which accompanied the introductory module, that’s a further two and a half hours of information to digest!

As you can appreciate, there is a lot to get through and I have no doubt it will take me the full six weeks to complete it all. While I cannot reveal every step of the program in this blog for obvious reasons, I will try to document my progress as well as I can do on this blog. I think it will be important for me to have a record, a journal, of what changes I am making and hopefully I will be able to see real progress being made. (more…)
